Alexander Chally has a diverse and extensive work experience. Alexander started their career as an undergraduate research assistant at Portland State University, where they assisted in the design, manufacture, and repair of instrumentation for physics research. Alexander then worked as a machinist and later as a development engineer, collaborating with researchers and professors to create custom hardware for research and education.

In 2013, Alexander worked as a bicycle manufacturing consultant at Circa Cycles, LLC, where they drafted technical drawings and provided engineering solutions to manufacturing and mechanical design issues.

From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a prototype engineer at Western Precision Products, programming and machining complex prototypes and production parts on CNC mills. Alexander also worked closely with customers to optimize designs for manufacturability and trained new employees in shop practices and 5-axis programming.

Currently, Alexander is serving as the Principal Prototype Engineer and Shop Manager at Panthalassa, where they utilize their expertise in prototype engineering and shop management.

Alexander Chally earned their Associate's Degree in Manufacturing and CNC Technology from Lane Community College from 2008 to 2011. Alexander then pursued their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Portland State University from 2011 to 2015.
