Steffen Hausler

Steffen Hausler is a Senior Prototype Engineer at Panthalassa since August 2022, focusing on the design and manufacturing of prototype hardware for a startup dedicated to developing low-cost energy solutions. Prior experience includes serving as a Sr. Rapid Prototype Engineer at Logitech from March 2016 to September 2022, where responsibilities encompassed developing automated test fixtures and prototype parts through various advanced manufacturing processes. Additionally, Steffen held roles in education, including Machining ROP Teacher at the Santa Barbara County Education Office and Machine Shop Manager at Dos Pueblos Engineering Academy Foundation, overseeing advanced manufacturing instruction and managing equipment for hundreds of students. Earlier experience at Las Cumbres Observatory involved CNC machining of telescope components, and a foundational role as a Senior Student Technician at Cal Poly State University supported fellow students in their engineering projects. Steffen holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, earned in 2008.
