James Calvo

James Calvo has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. James began their career as an Apprentice Carpenter at PeopleReady in 2016. From 2017 to 2020, they served as a Research Chemist at The Zhang Research Group and later at Sandia National Laboratories, where they synthesized and characterized metal-organic frameworks and developed prototype artificial synapses for neural networks. In 2018, they also worked as a Research Chemist at So Lab Chico.

In 2022, James transitioned to the technology sector, starting as a Full Stack Developer at Niki Broyles Art, where they developed a fine art gallery web experience and an eCommerce storefront. James then joined Black Elk Labs as an Engineer, focusing on developing a python application/GUI for research-caliber scientific instruments. Currently, they are working as an Application Developer at Pantheon Inc.

Throughout their career, James has gained expertise in various areas, including application development, scientific research, and web development.

James Calvo attended California State University, Chico from 2015 to 2020. James pursued a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Chemistry and a minor in Mathematics.
