Panos Sakkos

Panos Sakkos has had a diverse range of work experiences in various roles and companies. Panos most recently worked at Panther as an Engineering Manager, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they were an Engineering Manager at Orfium from 2021 to 2022, where they led the Ingestion team and implemented various technical improvements. Panos also designed and released a new service that utilized AI technology. Before that, Panos worked at Plum Fintech as a Tech Lead from 2019 to 2021, where they built a team and released new features. Panos also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Plum Fintech during that time, focusing on stabilizing and scaling their Payments service.

Earlier in their career, Panos co-founded Blocktopus and raised funding for the company. Panos also worked as a Security Software Engineer at Microsoft, focusing on backend engineering for Office 365 services. Additionally, they have experience as a Research Assistant at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, where they contributed to data mining research projects and published papers. Panos also had internships at Microsoft and CERN as a Software Engineer and Computer Security Researcher, respectively.

Panos Sakkos completed their education in a chronological manner. Panos first attended the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens from 2007 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Telecommunications. Following this, they pursued further education at the same university from 2012 to 2014 and earned a Master's Degree in the Technology of Computational Systems. In addition to their formal education, Panos Sakkos also obtained a certification in Cryptography I from Coursera in November 2017.
