Marc Bedard

Marc Bedard has a strong background in software development and leadership roles. Marc is currently working as the Software R&D Director at Panthera Dental since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Bodycad from February 2022 to January 2023, and Chief Software Officer from March 2011 to February 2022. Marc also worked as a Software Developer at NobelProcera Innovation Centre Quebec from January 2009 to January 2011. Before that, they were a Software Developer at BioCad Medical Inc. from July 2006 to January 2009. Marc started their career as a Software Developer at Centre de recherche et de formation en implantologie inc. from April 2002 to June 2006. Marc's expertise in software engineering also includes a role as a Software Engineer at Oerlikon Aerospatial (now Rheinmetall Canada Inc.) from January to December 2000.

Marc Bedard began their education in 1996 at College de Maisonneuve, where they obtained a DEC degree in Electrical Engineering in 1999. Marc then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from École de technologie supérieure, completing their studies in 2002. After that, they enrolled in a Master's program in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Computer Vision at Université Laval from 2002 to 2005, though they did not complete the degree.

In addition to their formal education, Marc Bedard has obtained several certifications. In 2019, they completed the course "Docker Mastery: The Complete Toolset From a Docker Captain" from Udemy. In 2020, they achieved the certification "Leader d'influence" from Humance | Culture & Performance. In 2021, they obtained the certification in "Agile Development" from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and completed the course "Introduction to Software for Medical Devices and IEC 62304" from Medical Device HQ. Most recently, in 2022, they earned the certification "M3I Supervision Essentiel" from Cégep Limoilou.
