Somi Dasom Choi has been in the workforce since 2013. Somi Dasom began as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Chungnam National University. In 2017, they took on the role of Academic Tutor at Double-Rich private academy, where they led a tutor team of five members and managed students' schedules and teaching materials for elementary and middle school students. In 2018, they became a GIS Specialist & Research Assistant at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). Currently, they are a Geographic Information System Programmer at Pantonium Inc.

Somi Dasom Choi completed a Bachelor of Applied Technology in Geographic Information Systems from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) between 2017 and 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science - BS in Oceanography and Ocean Environmental Sciences from Chungnam National University between 2013 and 2017. Somi Dasom also studied Marine Sciences at Stony Brook University from 2015 to 2016.
