Brian Nilsen

Brian Nilsen has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Brian is currently working as a Staff Software Engineer at Papa since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked at GoodRx as a Staff Engineer from November 2020 to April 2022, where they played a key role in maintaining existing tooling and designing new projects using Python and Go. Brian also worked with Airflow for data ingestion and built and maintained microservices for retrieving drug pricing information and a discount system.

Before joining GoodRx, Brian worked as a Senior Software Engineer at ZipRecruiter from July 2017 to September 2020. Brian also held the position of Principal Software Engineer at GOOD Worldwide Inc from February 2014 to June 2017, where they led the development effort for building a new website and a mobile platform.

Brian's earlier experiences include working as a Senior Software Developer at Intelligent Healthcare from April 2011 to February 2014 and at Ticketmaster Entertainment from February 2011 to April 2011. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Staff Software Developer at MySpace from November 2007 to January 2011 and as a Senior Software Developer at Stamps.com from July 2001 to October 2007. At Stamps.com, they were responsible for various aspects of the website, including front-end scripting, back-end modules, server configuration, and database administration.

Brian began their career as a Web Developer at eToys.com in 1999. Throughout their career, they have showcased their expertise in various programming languages and frameworks, and has successfully contributed to the development of numerous web applications and platforms.

Brian Nilsen obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Programming from DeVry. Brian attended DeVry from 2005 to 2009.
