Jared Tafralian

Jared Tafralian has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jared started their career as a Software Engineer at TechEmpower in 1999 and worked there until 2002. At eHarmony.com, Jared served as a Software Architect from 2002 to 2013. During this time, they designed and implemented real-time systems using NOSQL and event-driven architectures, and played a crucial role in the growth of the systems.

Following their tenure at eHarmony.com, Jared joined DogVacay in 2013 as a Senior Architect. Jared led the migration from a monolithic PHP stack to a Java-centric SOA platform, along with the development of RESTful Java services. Jared also implemented Groovy monitoring scripts for team alerts.

In 2017, Jared joined DroneBase as a Senior Engineer, where they worked on backend development for a RoR/MySql microservice. Jared also worked on AR game logic using the Unity Game Engine and prototyped CAD drawing imports.

Currently, Jared is working at Papaya Payments as an Architect/Principal Engineer since 2018.

Jared Tafralian studied Computer Science and Math at Loyola Marymount University from 1994 to 1999, earning a BA degree.
