Julien Guérand

Julien Guérand has worked in various roles in the tech industry since 2003. Julien began their career as a Certified Mathematics Teacher for Education Nationale in France. In 2010, they took on a role as a Private Tutor for Methodia & House Cours. In 2011, they worked as a Post Graduate Producer Student and Class Representative for ENJMIN, as well as an Online Mathematics Tutoring for Prof'Express. From 2012 to 2017, they worked as a Senior Algorithm Engineer for Papaya Payments, where they developed an OCR system for Camera Captured documents using deep learning, designed algorithms to analyze structure of OCRed documents and extract all available information required to duly process them, and designed a new logic to generalize some automated process so as to broaden their field of applications.

Julien Guérand's education history includes a CAPES and Master degree in Mathematics from Pierre and Marie Curie University between 2000 and 2003. Julien also earned a Master degree in Management from ENJMIN between 2010 and 2012. In 2016 and 2017, they were self-taught in AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning through MIT OpenCourseWare, Udacity, and Coursera.
