Gilmer Gaston is a seasoned transportation engineering professional with extensive experience in managing traffic engineering initiatives. Since July 2000, Gilmer has served as Senior Vice President at Pape-Dawson Engineers, overseeing a team that delivers traffic and transportation studies and designs for clients across Texas. Prior to this, Gilmer was the Texas District Director for the Institute of Transportation Engineers from January 2012 to December 2014 and worked as Deputy Assistant Director for the City of Houston, managing traffic signals and coordinating with various agencies. Gilmer's earlier career includes a Project Manager role at Kimley-Horn and Associates, where responsibilities included transportation engineering improvements and traffic system projects. Gilmer holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Transportation) and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.
