Alison Medley is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in digital content production and strategic communications. Currently serving as Communications Manager at the University of Houston since November 2021, Alison has developed a comprehensive communications strategy for the HEALTH Center for Addictions Research and Cancer Prevention (HEALTH-RCMI) while continuing as a Senior Digital Journalist. Previously, Alison contributed to PaperCity Magazine as a Digital Journalist covering Houston's design and arts scene and worked at the Houston Chronicle as a Senior Digital Content Producer, focusing on in-depth storytelling. Alison's earlier roles include Senior Producer for Digital Content at Fox and Senior Producer for News Promotion and Digital Content at ABC News, where significant achievements in creating viral social media content were noted. Alison began the career in broadcasting as a News Promo Producer at KHOU-TV and has a solid academic background with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Journalism from Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma.
