Summary:

As a BDR Manager, you are responsible for training, enabling and coaching a team of approximately 12 high-performing business development professionals. You are an expert in prospecting and have a proven track record of achieving individual and team sales goals. You understand how to build a team that operates efficiently and consistently, and you’re obsessed with measuring your team’s impact on the business. You collaborate with sales and marketing leadership and understand that selling is a team sport that requires tight alignment around a well-articulated strategy. You’re obsessed with data hygiene and developing a deep understanding of our target market so that you can prospect effectively. You love coaching and preparing your team members to graduate into quota-carrying field reps. 

This is a full-time position based in Boston, MA  and requires on-site presence, with a hybrid schedule as needed. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Hire, lead, and mentor a team of Business Development Representatives to meet and exceed sales targets and build a career in Sales
  • Manage team towards established goals and KPIs, providing regular feedback and coach to success 
  • Facilitate training and professional development for the team (both individually and in consultation with our sales training and enablement team).
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture with open communication
  • Prepare and present performance insights to GTM leadership
  • Develop and implement strategies for growth in identified new markets
  • Proactively identify trends in performance and downstream impacts on the business and offer recommendations and solutions to mitigate risks before they arise
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing management to align BDRs to company level goals company objectives

Requirements: 

  • 3+ years of management experience in business development
  • Experience in vertical SaaS software sales required. Experience in  manufacturing or related industry preferred 
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a past Sales role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Salesforce, Outreach, Gong and other key Sales technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • An unwavering work ethic

The office is walking distance from Downtown Encinitas, the Coaster train stop, and tons of activities on the 101.
