Ben Waters

Ben Waters has extensive work experience in the energy industry, primarily in refining and optimization roles. Ben is currently working as the Regional Optimization Commercial Sr. Manager at Par Pacific Holdings, Inc. since August 2022.

Prior to that, Ben worked at Valero Energy Corporation for almost 10 years, holding various positions. Ben started as an Associate Process Engineer in December 2012 and worked their way up within the company. Their roles at Valero included Staff HSE Excellence Engineer from February 2022 to July 2022, Process Engineering Manager from July 2020 to February 2022, Refinery Optimization Manager from July 2019 to July 2020, Sr. Optimization & Planning Engineer from February 2018 to July 2019, Sr. Process Engineer from November 2017 to February 2018, and Process Engineer from July 2015 to November 2017.

Ben Waters attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. Later, from 2017 to 2019, they pursued an MBA at Indiana University - Kelley School of Business.
