Sacha Tihanyi

Sacha Tihanyi is a seasoned statistician and data scientist currently serving as a Statistician at MMS Solutions Inc. since January 2024, and as a Statistician and Full Stack Data Scientist at Parachute since May 2023. Prior experience includes leadership roles at TD Securities as Head of Emerging Markets Strategy and Director of Emerging Markets Strategy from November 2015 to July 2022, and positions at Scotiabank Global Banking and Markets, where contributions included Senior Currency Strategist for Asia Ex Japan and G-10 Currency Strategist between June 2008 and October 2015. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Sovereign Analyst for Latin America at DBRS from September 2005 to May 2008. Sacha Tihanyi holds a Bachelor of Mathematics in Honours Mathematical Statistics from the University of Waterloo, a Master's in Economics from Queen's University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Economics from Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne.
