Joe is the Chief Executive Officer of Paraco, a privately held propane company serving the Northeast region. Paraco's story began in 1968 with his Father, Pat Armentano, working from a garage in Mount Vernon, New York where he started an industrial gas company known as Patsems, Inc. The company entered the propane business in 1979 with the purchase of a small propane and oil marketer called, Paraco Fuel Corp.
Today, Paraco services over 120,000 residential and commercial customers out of 27 distribution locations. Paraco's footprint is primarily in the Northeast and is the 13th largest propane marketer in the U.S. headquartered in Rye Brook, New York, with more than 425 employees company-wide.
Joe grew up in Mount Vernon and Yonkers, New York, and is the oldest of four boys. He attended Roosevelt High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society. He played football for Tony DeMatteo, one of his earliest mentors, and who still coaches football today.
Joe graduated from Fordham University in 1976 with a B.A. in History and went on to earn his MBA in Finance from Iona College in 1988. He is currently writing his first book, "A Helluva Ride," the story of the legacy of his father and founder of Paraco, Pat Armentano, to be published in the Spring of 2020.
