Anthony Towns

Anthony Towns is a seasoned developer and contributor to open source software with extensive experience spanning multiple roles and organizations. Currently serving as a Developer for Bitcoin Core at Paradigm since July 2020, Towns also brings significant experience from Debian, where contributions range from Technical Committee Member to Debian Project Leader, a role held from April 2006 to April 2007. Additional roles include Release Engineer at Red Hat, Developer at Xapo, and Techno Pilgrim during a sabbatical. Towns has a background in IT consulting and has actively engaged in community governance as Treasurer and Secretary of Linux Australia. Education includes a BSc in Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science from The University of Queensland, and a Graduate Diploma in Economics from the University of London International Programmes.
