Emer Ní Chíobháin has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Emer is currently working as a Programmer Manager at Paradox Interactive since January 2022. Additionally, they have been serving as an Ambassador at Women in Games since August 2022.

Prior to their current roles, Emer worked at Flowbox from August 2019 to January 2022, where they held the position of Development Team Lead. In this role, they led a team on various initiatives, including web accessibility projects, modernizing legacy codebases, and porting applications to different technologies. Before that, they worked as a Frontend Developer at Flowbox from January 2019 to August 2019, where they primarily worked with JavaScript, CSS, React.js, Redux.js, and other related technologies.

Emer also has experience as a Full Stack JavaScript Developer at the School of Applied Technology (Salt) from August 2018 to December 2019. Emer worked as a Professional Networking Participant Coordinator at SUPERMARKET - Stockholm Independent Art Fair from September 2017 to August 2018.

In 2011, Emer held two positions at Sample-Studios, where they served as an Artistic Director from September 2014 to August 2015 and as an Office Manager from March 2011 to September 2014. In these roles, they were responsible for the efficient management of all aspects of the company and its day-to-day operations.

Emer also worked as a Visual Artist from June 2010 to August 2015, focusing on mixed media installations and lens-based media. Emer has experience in utilizing new technologies such as 3D, VR, and AR to facilitate user interaction in their work.

Furthermore, Emer served as an Artist-in-Studio at Cork Arts Support Team from November 2013 to October 2014. Emer was also a Public Relations Officer at Anew from September 2010 to July 2012.

Earlier in their career, Emer was a Programme Coordinator at Patrick St. Gallery from August 2006 to January 2010. The gallery aimed to promote avant-garde emerging artists and innovative students in Cork by hosting various contemporary art exhibitions and events.

Emer Ní Chíobháin has a diverse education history. Emer obtained a Full Stack JavaScript Developer degree from the School for Applied Technology </salt> in 2018. Prior to that, in 2015, they completed a course on Marketing for Cultural Organisations at Leuphana University of Lüneburg through the Goethe Institut. In 2010, they pursued a Lvl 6 Diploma in Accounting and Business/Management at St. John's College, Cork. Before that, in 2009, they earned a BA (Hons) degree from the Centre for Creative Arts and Media (CCAM), specializing in Textiles in Contemporary Art Practice & Critical Theory with Digital Media. In 2006, Emer completed their BA (ord) in Fine Art at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology. Additionally, in 2014, they studied Counseling Skills at Maynooth University, and in 2008, they attended Nacionalna hudojestvena akademija for an Undergrad degree in Applied Arts: Textiles.

Furthermore, Emer holds a Professional Scrum Master certification from Scrum.org, which they obtained in June 2021.
