Jon Astrup Hällkvist

Jon Astrup Hällkvist has a diverse work experience in the creative field, starting with their current position as a Concept Artist - Mid-level at Paradox Interactive since May 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as a 2D/UI Artist - Junior to Mid-level at the same company from August 2021 to May 2023, and as a 2D/UI Art Intern from January 2021 to August 2021.

Before joining Paradox Interactive, Jon held positions at Infocar Training AB as an Art Director from September 2015 to June 2021, and as a Lead Artist from September 2014 to September 2015.

Furthermore, Jon has experience working as a Freelance Illustrator, providing illustration and graphic design services to clients in Switzerland, Germany, Norway, and the USA. This freelance work included creating banners, book covers, and illustrations for webpages.

Jon Astrup Hällkvist has a diverse educational background. Jon started their education journey by completing the Estetiska programmet bild at Karolinska skolans gymnasium from 2006 to 2009. Following this, they attended Kyrkeruds Folkhögskola in 2009 and 2010, pursuing the Målerilinjen.

In 2010 and 2011, Jon studied Statsvetenskap at Örebro University. Subsequently, they enrolled at Mälardalen University in 2011 and completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Informative Illustration - Information Design in 2014.

More recently, from 2019 to 2021, Jon attended Futuregames, where they focused on developing their skills as a 2D artist.
