Puru Kaushik

Puru Kaushik has a diverse work experience that spans multiple companies and roles. In their most recent position at Paradox Interactive, they worked as a Programmer starting in 2023.

Prior to that, Puru held various roles at Avalanche Studios Group from 2020 to 2023. Puru served as a Craft lead - Gameplay, where they were responsible for the growth and development of gameplay programmers. Puru conducted regular check-ins to ensure their well-being and progress. Additionally, they worked as an Experienced Programmer, focusing on AI and generalist gameplay programming for theHunter: Call of The Wild.

Before joining Avalanche Studios, Puru worked at Ubisoft India Studios from 2017 to 2020. During this time, they held roles such as Programmer, where they led character movement and physics systems, and oversaw the development of gameplay features. Puru also served as a Junior Programmer, contributing to an in-development action adventure title by setting up the narrative pipeline, developing guidelines for gameplay systems, and establishing workflow for gameplay-animation systems. Puru's journey at Ubisoft began as a Programming Intern, where they worked on the game Steep as a UI-Gameplay programmer and developed well-received features.

Additionally, Puru has experience outside the gaming industry. Puru worked as the Marketing Head and Creative Head for the Student Union Council at DY Patil's RAIT from 2013 to 2017. In these roles, they focused on improving communication between the college community, managing marketing efforts for cultural events, and enhancing community engagement. Puru also served as a Team Member on the marketing team for the RAIT Horizon cultural festival, handling crowd engagement, social media marketing, and online public relations.

Starting from 2013, Puru was also involved with AIESEC in Navi Mumbai. Puru worked as a Team Leader for Recruitment, organizing recruitment drives and engaging students to volunteer. Puru also served as a Team Member in the Outgoing Exchange department, matching students to volunteer experiences worldwide.

Puru Kaushik completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Information Technology from DY Patil University, where they studied from 2013 to 2017.
