Jim Sharnas is an experienced engineering professional with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as a Design Engineer at Paragon Metals, Inc. since February 2016, Jim previously held the position of Technical Sales & Design Engineer at XY Tool & Die, where responsibilities included workholding design, detailing, pricing, and technical support from October 2004 to February 2016. Prior to this, Jim was the Manufacturing Engineering Manager at EaglePicher Automotive, overseeing the manufacturing engineering department for Tier 1 automotive manufacturing from September 2001 to October 2004. Jim began the journey at Sutton Tool Co, where progression from workholding detailer to Chief Design Engineer and VP of Engineering occurred from December 1991 to September 2001. Educational background includes a degree from Oakland University obtained between 1982 and 1987 and a high school diploma from Sterling Heights High School, completed from 1979 to 1982.
