Christie Andersen has over a decade of experience in the career development field. Christie began their career in 2004 as a Career Specialist at the University of Missouri, where they mentored undergraduate peer career advisors and provided resume and job search assistance to students in the College of Arts & Sciences. In 2006, they moved to Lake Forest College as an Internship Coordinator/Career Counselor, providing career development and internship support to a student body of 1300 liberal arts majors. In 2008, they joined Columbia College Chicago as the Executive Director of Career Initiatives, where they provided leadership and strategic vision to move the college toward a culture of career planning. Christie also led the Portfolio Center and office of Student Employment, including 12 full-time staff. In 2016, they moved to City Colleges of Chicago as a Career Services Advisor, where they prepared students to launch successful careers through thoughtful, hands-on career support. Christie coached students through resume and cover letter revisions, and provided mock interview feedback. Christie also served as a liaison to art, architecture, music and performing arts students. In 2019, they joined Loyola University Chicago as a Career Advisor, and in 2022 they will be joining Paragon One as a Program Manager.

Christie Andersen has an education history that includes a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, which they obtained between 2004 and 2006. Christie also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the same university, which they obtained between 1999 and 2003. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Project Initiation: Starting a Successful Project from Coursera in April 2022, Elearning Essentials: Storyboarding from LinkedIn in April 2022, Foundations of Project Management from Coursera in March 2022, Instructional Design Essentials: Models of ID from LinkedIn in March 2022, and Instructional Design: Needs Analysis from LinkedIn in March 2022.
