Matthew Sillick's work experience includes founding and serving as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Paragon Pure since March 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Ingredion Incorporated from September 2013 to February 2019, where they were a Senior Associate responsible for building and managing a $500k microscopy core facility. Matthew also conducted technology screening and provided training in optical and scanning electron microscopy. Before Ingredion, Sillick worked at Firmenich from October 2011 to August 2013 as a Scientist, from June 2007 to October 2011 as an Associate Scientist, and from February 2004 to June 2007 as a Chemist. Matthew'sroles at Firmenich involved innovation, developing materials, establishing collaborations, and providing analytical microscopy services. Sillick's earliest work experience was as a Materials Scientist at EMSL Analytical from 2001 to 2004, where they specialized in non-routine requests for material identification and dust characterization.

Matthew Sillick completed their high school education at Seton Catholic Central from 1990 to 1994. Matthew then pursued their bachelor's degree in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University, graduating in 1998. Following that, they attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1999 to 2001 to earn their master's degree in Materials Science.
