Carl Weiss has extensive work experience in defense logistics and supply chain management. Starting in 2000, they worked as the Global Information Technology Team Lead at the Naval Supply Systems Command. From 2003 to 2004, they served as an Associate Fellow at the CNO Strategic Studies Group (SSG), conducting research and developing future naval concepts. Carl then joined the US Navy as the Senior Logistician for the USS ESSEX, leading a team responsible for managing material and services for a self-sustaining operational unit. In 2007, they became the Chief of the Logistic Sustainment Division at US Transportation Command. Carl later joined the Naval Supply Systems Command as the Director of ERP Supply Chain Functional Integration, overseeing a $500M ERP implementation. Carl currently holds the position of Senior Vice President at Paragon Technology Group, where they are responsible for defense logistics support and business development, focusing on supply chain process improvement and strategic planning.
Carl Weiss has a diverse education history. In 1983, they attended Louisiana State University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance in 1988. Following this, from 1996 to 1998, Carl attended the Naval Postgraduate School, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Systems Inventory Management. Moving forward, they enrolled at the U.S. Naval War College from 2003 to 2005 and successfully completed a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies. Finally, in 2010, Carl attended The Wharton School for an Executive Development Program in an unspecified field of study.
