Valerie Root is a seasoned professional in the field of information security with extensive experience spanning over three decades. Currently serving as a Senior Security Assessor & Quality Manager and Security Engineer at Paragon Technology Group since February 2018, Valerie has previously held significant roles including Sr Computer Systems Security Specialist at The Newberry Group and Alternate COMSEC Manager at NCI Information Systems, Inc. Notable accomplishments include leading Assessment & Authorization projects, managing the COMSEC program, and publishing System Security Authorization Agreements at USTRANSCOM. Valerie's military background includes various positions within the US Air Force, culminating in substantial expertise in computer systems operations and quality assurance. Valerie holds an MBA and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from McKendree University, alongside an Associate degree in Information Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.
