Kiana Aran

Kiana Aran is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in engineering and biomedical fields. Currently, Kiana serves as an Associate Professor at the UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering and the UC San Diego School of Medicine, alongside roles as Co-Director of the Center for Technologies for Healthy Aging at the UC San Diego Institute of Engineering in Medicine. Kiana is also an Innovation Advisor and Chief Innovation Officer at Paragraf®, and a Senior Member at the National Academy of Inventors. Kiana co-founded CRISPR QC and Cardea Bio Inc., and has contributed as a Consultant for Drug Delivery and Medical Diagnostics at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Kiana completed a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley.
