Ben Zittlau

Co-Founder and CTO at Parakeeto

Ben Zittlau has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ben is currently the Co-Founder and CTO of Parakeeto, where they are responsible for the technology and product development. Additionally, they are actively engaged in high-level strategy and business execution at the company.

Prior to Parakeeto, Ben founded The Workshop Software Company, specializing in assisting startups through the transition into more mature processes and strategy. Ben also served in various roles at Jobber - Software for Mobile Services, including Director of Growth, Distinguished Architect, Director of Engineering, and Software Developer.

Ben was also the Co-founder and VP Technology at Mover, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2019. Ben co-founded Alertzy, a project aimed at utilizing SMS to push data and events at a municipal level. Additionally, Ben worked as a Software Developer at Yardstick and as the Director of Technology Development at BoardSuite Corp.

Their early career includes roles as a Design Engineer at Eleven Engineering Incorporated, a Co-founder and CTO at Firenest Innovations Inc, and a Product Engineer at Micron Technology.

From 2003 to 2008, Ben Zittlau attended the University of Alberta, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
