Amanda Smith started their career in 2011 as a Compliance Legal Specialist at The Reynolds and Reynolds Company. In this role, they conducted legal research, tracked legislative changes, and communicated with the sales force and management.

In 2013, Amanda joined Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant. Amanda drafted and edited correspondence, memos, and court filings, filed documents in local and federal courts, and coordinated document production. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as a Litigation and Data Privacy Paralegal at the same company. In this role, they drafted and formatted correspondence and documents, assisted in litigation case investigation, conducted research and analysis, and filed documents in local and federal courts.

Most recently, in 2020, Amanda became the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer at Parallax Advanced Research.

Amanda Smith has a diverse education background. Amanda started their higher education journey at Cedarville University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Music degree in Church Music from 2003 to 2006. Following their undergraduate studies, they attended Miami University from 2007 to 2009 and earned their Master of Music degree in Piano Performance. Later, they enrolled at Sinclair Community College and completed an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Paralegal from 2009 to 2011.

In addition to their formal degrees, Amanda has obtained two certifications. In 2017, they became a Notary Public, certified by the Ohio Secretary of State. Furthermore, they obtained the Certified Information Privacy Professional - United States (CIPP/US) certification from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in October 2019.
