Josh Lam, CPA

Josh Lam, CPA has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. Josh started their career in 2016 as a Sales Operations Intern at Cision Canada. In 2017, they worked as a Summer Research Analyst at Charity Intelligence Canada, where they gained valuable insights into managing non-profit organizations.

In 2018, Josh joined EY as a Senior Accountant, where they honed their accounting skills and expertise. Josh worked at EY for three years until May 2021.

Josh then moved on to join Properly in May 2021 as a Senior Financial Analyst. In this role, they played a crucial role in scaling the company's finance team and processes. Josh was responsible for creating repeatable and scalable processes for day-to-day accounting, month-end close, and reporting. Josh also took ownership of budgets and forecasting and led cross-functional work on funnel, revenue, and cost data. Furthermore, they worked on special projects such as target setting with Marketing, SEO initiatives, and infrastructure costs.

Currently, Josh is a Senior Accountant at Parallel Domain, starting from 2023.

Josh Lam, CPA has an extensive educational background. Josh obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Global Development Studies from Queen's University, attending from 2016 to 2019. Before that, they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree at Queen's University from 2014 to 2018. Josh Lam also participated in an exchange program at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) in 2016.

Prior to their university education, Josh Lam completed their high school education at École Secondaire Catholique Renaissance from 2010 to 2014.

In addition to their academic achievements, Josh Lam has earned the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) certification from CPA Ontario in May 2021.
