Ken Tanaka

Ken Tanaka has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with their most recent role being the Head of Biothreat Research at Paratek Pharmaceuticals starting in 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal at Tanaka Consulting LLC from 2019 to 2020. Ken also held the position of Vice President of Research and Development at Paratek Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2001 to 2015. Before that, they were a Senior Director at Pathogenesis Corp from 1997 to 2001 and a Project Leader at Abbott Laboratories from 1991 to 1997.

Ken Tanaka earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Washington from 1970 to 1974. Ken then went on to pursue a PhD in Microbiology at Northwestern University, which they completed from 1974 to 1978.
