Sobia Dean

Sobia Dean has worked in the healthcare industry since 2012. Sobia began their career as a Radiation Therapist at St Vincent's Health Network Sydney, where they completed their Professional Development Year (PDY) and achieved all required competencies and CPD. In 2014, they moved to St Vincent's Health Australia as a Clinic Coordinator for the Clinical Genomics Unit, where they processed referrals, maintained the clinic schedule and Medicare billing, and helped set up the new unit. Sobia then worked as a Clinical Trials Coordinator for NSW Health, managing Phase II and Phase III pharmaceutical sponsored trials in the Gastric & Melanoma team, ensuring protocol adherence, creating source documents, and carrying out all study related activities and assessments for all visits. In 2020, they moved to the University of Sydney as a Clinical Trials Coordinator for the Brain & Mind Centre. Sobia is currently working at PPD as a Clinical Research Associate (Level I and Level II), and is set to begin working as a Clinical Site Operations Manager at Paratus Clinical in 2022.

Sobia Dean obtained their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Medical Radiologic Technology/Science - Radiation Therapist from the University of Sydney between 2008 and 2011. Sobia then obtained a Statement of Accreditation from the Australian Institute of Radiography in March 2013. Finally, they earned their Master's Degree in Project Management from the University of Sydney between 2014 and 2018.
