Uri Lopatin, MD

Uri Lopatin, MD has extensive experience in the field of biosciences and healthcare. Uri is the Founder, Board Member, Strategic and Scientific Advisor at Pardes Biosciences since March 2022. Previously, they held the position of Founder, CEO, and President at the same company from February 2020 to March 2022. Additionally, Uri Lopatin served as a Fellow at the Edmund Hillary Fellowship (EHF) since October 2020. Uri has also worked with Y Combinator as an Expert in Bio and Visiting Partner from November 2019 to present.

Uri Lopatin has played crucial roles at Assembly Biosciences, Inc., where they were the Scientific & Strategic Advisor from May 2019 to March 2022. Uri also served as the Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer at Assembly Biosciences from October 2012 to May 2019. Prior to this, Uri Lopatin mentored at StartX Med from June 2012 to May 2019 and mentored as part of the Thiel 20 under 20 Fellowship from April 2013 to April 2016.

Uri Lopatin's expertise also extends to entrepreneurship, as they founded and served as CEO of Yosera from October 2012 to April 2015. Furthermore, they were a Fellow in the Emerging Leaders in Biosecurity Initiative at The Center for Biosecurity - UPMC from January 2013 to January 2015. Uri co-founded another company, Assembly Pharmaceuticals, where they held the positions of Co-Founder, Chief Medical Officer, and VP R&D from October 2012 to July 2014.

Dr. Lopatin began their career at Gilead Sciences, where they worked as a Senior Director in Clinical and Translational Research from September 2010 to September 2012. Uri Lopatin, MD completed their BA in Biology at Cornell University from 1990 to 1994. Uri then pursued their MD at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - New Jersey Medical School, graduating in the year 2000. Following this, Lopatin completed an internship at the University of Washington - School of Medicine from 2000 to 2001. Subsequently, they undertook a residency in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at New York University, which they completed from 2001 to 2003. Lopatin further expanded their education in the field of ID Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health from 2003 to 2006.
