Barbara Zappala

Founder Member at Parenthood Ventures

Barbara Zappala serves as Director of Retail Strategy at Refaba, where management of retail strategy for Carter's stores in Panama and Costa Rica occurs. As a founder member of Parenthood Ventures, Barbara contributes to an ecosystem supporting ParentTech startups addressing the needs of parents and children. Additionally, as a co-founder of Lil' Labmates, Barbara focuses on introducing babies and toddlers to STEM through specially designed toys. Barbara's previous roles include Project Manager at Kitamba, MBA Summer Intern at BackPac Volunteer, and MBA Consultant for GoHealth Kids AR. At AUSL, Barbara served as Strategic Data Analyst, and as an Impact Fellow with Education Pioneers. Prior experience also includes Technology Consultant at Accenture, where significant contributions were made in data visualization and reporting. Barbara holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
