Julie Lopez Carty

Julie Lopez Carty is a seasoned entrepreneur and advocate with a diverse background in healthcare and business management. As the founder of ShopLatchLight, Julie created a unique wearable nightlight designed to assist mothers during nighttime feedings while minimizing melatonin disruption. Julie also serves as a founder member of Parenthood Ventures, an ecosystem supporting startups focused on parents and children, which has raised over $65 million in funding within nine months of its launch. Additionally, Julie is a member of the Family Advisory Council at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego, providing essential feedback to improve patient and family experiences. As a patient advocate at GetSMELP, Julie works to support individuals with long-term smell and taste issues, particularly those impacted by COVID-19.
