Mercedes Garcia has extensive experience in early childhood education, serving in various roles such as Parent Child Educator, Program Lead Educator, and Early Childhood Teacher. Mercedes holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Ashford University and an Associate of Science degree from Honolulu Community College. Mercedes is skilled in creating developmentally appropriate curriculum and providing individualized care for preschool aged children.

Parents And Children Together has been providing Hawaii’s most vulnerable residents with desperately needed social services since 1968. Each year these services help 15,000 parents, children, individuals and families survive, thrive and become contributing members of our diverse neighborhoods and communities. We started our journey as a single Head Start program at The Towers at Kuhio Park, formally known as Kuhio Park Terrace (KPT) and we’ve evolved into a multi-faceted organization with over 400 employees. We are one of Hawaii’s largest and leading social services nonprofit. We help parents and children in need establish meaningful and healthy relationships, and we create support systems that empower people who often have nowhere else to turn. We serve a mission of working together with Hawaii's children, individuals, and families to create safe and promising futures. We believe in building the relationships that matter most!
