Nels Wedin

Nels Wedin is a seasoned professional in the field of biosciences, currently serving as a Sr. Field Applications Engineer at Parhelia Biosciences since November 2022, where responsibilities include building and mentoring the Field Application Science team and developing a next-generation spatial biology automation platform. Nels previously held roles such as Application Scientist at Parhelia Biosciences, where pioneering efforts included nationwide installations of the Omni-Stainer and comprehensive user training. Past experience at Visolis and Zymergen involved strain engineering and genome engineering, respectively. Academic achievements include a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Southern Oregon University. Nels also founded Soil Life LLC, highlighting entrepreneurial skills and commitment to sustainable practices in soil amendments.
