On July 12, 2018, Paris Basketball, the Paris-based professional basketball club, was born with the aim of offering Greater Paris a club to match its image.

The men's team competes in the Betclic ELITE (French 1st division) and the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague (European 1st division).
