Stavros Papaderakis is an experienced maritime professional currently serving as a Commander at the Hellenic Coast Guard since October 2015, with responsibilities as a flag state control officer and port state control officer. In addition, Stavros holds a position as an Emsa Sulphur Inspector under the European Maritime Safety Agency since October 2020 and has been a Port State Control District Supervisor for the Paris MoU on Port State Control since 2007. Previous roles include serving as a 3rd engineer at THENAMARIS SHIPS MANAGEMENT INC and participating in various engine cadet programs during studies at the Merchant Marine Academy of Crete, which Stavros attended from September 1998 to July 2002.
