Ronen Segev

President at Park Avenue Pianos

Ronen Segev is the President of Park Avenue Pianos and a respected Concert Pianist, with years of concert touring and performances on numerous Concert Grand Steinway pianos.

Pianist Ronen Segev served as Artistic Director of Ten O'Clock Classics (TOC), a performing arts group that works to bring classical music and the arts to a broader audience.

Born to Israeli parents, Segev grew up in Houston, TX where he attended the High School for Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA). Segev performed as soloist with numerous orchestras, before being accepted to study at the Juilliard School. At Juilliard he founded the Student Council and became its first President. Segev's primary teacher at Juilliard was the Head of the Piano Department, famed pedagogue Veda Kaplinsky. While at Juilliard, Segev won the NAE National Performing Arts Award, which consisted of an international tour and closing concert at Carnegie Hall. Segev's touring included performances in Paris, London, Melbourne, Tel Aviv, and Berlin.

In 2000, Segev founded Ten O'Clock Classics with the financial support of David Picket, real estate developer and President of the Gotham Organization. Picket and Segev garnered additional financial support and put together a board which funded many of the group's activities.

Segev has been featured in numerous periodicals, including a front page feature in the Wall Street Journal. Hailed as "The Hip of Classical Music" by the NY Times, Segev has dedicated his professional life to furthering the cause of bringing classical music to a broader audience. He has achieved that through his concertizing, philanthropic endeavors, and Piano enterprise Park Avenue Pianos, whose core mission includes concerts and events for younger audiences, on the company's Premier Steinway Piano Collection.
