Cate Parkin

Cate is a parent of one current and one future Park Day student and an Alameda resident. She credits her mother, a public school history teacher who pushed the boundaries with her curriculum and always encouraged her children and students to learn beyond the books, for her passion for progressive education. Cate was born and raised in Central Illinois and received her bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering at the University of Illinois. She currently works as a Vice President of Sales at Clorox, where she has worked since college in a wide variety of roles.
