Paul Y.

Paul Y. has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Paul is currently the Director of IT & Strategy at Park Place Seniors Living, Inc. where they are responsible for developing, researching, monitoring, and maintaining Information Technology that aligns with the company's goals. Paul is also leading the SaaS Azure migration and promoting collaborative work and quality assurance.

Prior to this, Paul held various roles at S.U.C.C.E.S.S., including Senior I.T. Manager, where they led the I.T. team to provide infrastructure computer and network services for multiple entities across different locations. Paul also served as a Network Administrator, handling network server installation and configuration, email and web server development, and providing computer support for users.

Before joining S.U.C.C.E.S.S., Paul worked at S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Employment Services as a Computer Training Officer / Network Technician. Additionally, Paul has experience as a Project Coordinator at CJY Industries Ltd, where they managed computerized Air Conditioning projects and provided technical support for high-tech equipment. Paul also worked as a System Engineer Intern at Hughes Aircraft of Canada Limited and as a Desktop Publisher (Contractor) at Canadian Digital Control Services.

Earlier in their career, Paul served as a System Administrator at Transport Canada, where they administrated the UNIX system in the Technical Data Centre and performed data migration and developed utility programs. Paul also worked as an Electronic Assembler at RS Technical Instruments Ltd. and as an Air Balancing Technician at HVAC Balancing Ltd.

During their time at Simon Fraser University, their field of study was focused on Computer Science. Prior to attending Simon Fraser University, Paul Y. pursued a Diploma of Electronics Technology with a Co-op program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 1989 to 1991.
