Shawn Hardister, CPA, CFP(r) has a diverse work experience spanning several positions and roles in the finance and accounting field. In 1987, they started their career at Price Waterhouse as a Senior Auditor. Shawn then moved on to Coastal Healthcare Group in 1992, where they served as VP of Mergers & Acquisitions. In 1994, they became the CFO of Coastal Physician Group before joining Tenet Healthcare in 1996 as the CFO for Physician Services in the Southeast Region. In 2001, they established their own firm, Hardister Co., LLC CPAs, where they worked as a Partner and Owner until 2007. Shawn then became a Partner and Owner at Brooks, McGinnis & Company, LLC from 2007 to 2013. During this period, they also held the role of Partner / Shareholder in Tax and Financial Planning at Moore Colson from 2013 to 2019. Currently, they are the Chief Financial Officer at Parker, Hudson, Rainer & Dobbs, a position they have held since August 2019.

Shawn Hardister, CPA, CFP(r), attended UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School from 1982 to 1987, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business- Accounting with honors. In addition, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant certification from the North Carolina Board in November 1989 and from Georgia in March 2001. Furthermore, they achieved the Certified Financial Planner certification from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. in November 2004.
