Scott Shail is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in the financial services sector. Currently a Partner at Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP since August 2010, Scott leads the firm's Financial Services Industry Team, advising financial institutions on a variety of issues related to loan originations and problem loans. Previously, Scott served as Senior Counsel at Wells Fargo from May 2003 to July 2010, where responsibilities included managing credit and non-credit risks for various business units. Scott began their career as an Associate at Hogan Lovells, focusing on bankruptcy and commercial law from September 2000 to May 2003, and also worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Paul Mannes, providing legal research and drafting opinions on bankruptcy and commercial matters. Scott holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Appalachian State University.
