Director Strategic Initiatives at Parkinson's Foundation

Annie Brooks (Wallis) has held various positions throughout their work experience. Annie started their career in 2011 as a Volunteer Crisis Hotline Counselor at 2-1-1 Big Bend, Inc., where they provided callers with crisis counseling and referrals. Annie also served as a Volunteer Representative on the Board of Representatives, attending meetings and organizing ticket sales for the annual benefit.

In 2013, Annie worked as a Social Work Intern at Early Head Start Gadsden County, where they shadowed agency tasks, assessed the needs of families, and empowered them to set and achieve goals.

From 2014 to 2015, they interned as an MSW Intern at OSU ACCESS Collaborative.

Annie then joined the Parkinson's Foundation in 2015 as a Program Manager, responsible for increasing the organization's impact in Ohio. Annie later became an Associate Director of Education, overseeing the Foundation's Aware in Care Hospitalization program and managing the development and distribution of educational materials.

In their most recent role at the Parkinson's Foundation, Annie became the Director of Education, where they oversaw the distribution of Aware in Care kits, trained and mentored Ambassadors, and directed the development of Care Partner Programs.

Throughout their career, Annie has demonstrated a strong commitment to making a positive impact in their community and supporting the needs of individuals and families.

Annie Brooks (Wallis) obtained their Master's Degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University between the years 2014 and 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Social Work at Florida State University from 2010 to 2013.
