Michael A. Horne is an accomplished education leader currently serving as President and CEO of Parkland Health Foundation since August 2019. Previously, Michael A. Horne held various leadership roles within KIPP Texas Public Schools, including Regional Superintendent and Superintendent, as well as Head of Schools and Principal at KIPP Truth Academy. Michael A. Horne’s early career included teaching seventh-grade English at Roxbury Preparatory Charter School and managing a children’s literacy program at Everybody Wins! Metro NY. Michael A. Horne's educational background includes a Master in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, a Doctor of Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education, an Ed.M in Education Policy and Management from Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Amherst College.
