Samuel Mandell

Samuel Mandell serves as the Director of the Burn Center at Parkland Hospital and holds the position of Associate Professor and Burn Section Chief at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Their previous roles include Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Washington - School of Medicine and Assistant Professor of Surgery at UW Medicine, Harborview Medical Center. Samuel Mandell completed their trauma and critical care fellowship at Harborview Medical Center and furthered expertise as a Burn Fellow at the University of Washington Regional Burn Center. Samuel Mandell's medical training began with a residency in surgery at the University of Washington, following the completion of an MD at UMass Chan Medical School and an MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Washington. A Bachelor of Arts degree in Late Antique Cultures and Biology was earned from Brown University.
