Jason Krefting Cpa

Jason Krefting, CPA, CMA has a diverse work experience in the finance and accounting industry. Jason started their career in 1999 as an Accountant at Vertefeille Chartered Accountants. Jason then moved on to Medicine Shoppe Canada Inc. in 2001, where they served as a Franchise Accountant. In 2005, they joined Katz Group / Medicine Shoppe Canada as an Accountant.

In 2006, Jason joined The Cash Store Financial Services Inc. as a Sr Accountant, and then progressed to the roles of Assistant Controller, Controller-Corporate Division, Corporate Controller, and finally, Vice President Financial Support. In these roles, they oversaw financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic planning.

Since 2015, Jason has been working at Parkland School Division as the Director of Business and Finance. In this role, they provide leadership and strategic direction for the finance team.

Throughout their career, Jason has demonstrated strong financial management skills and has mentored other professionals in the field.

Jason pursued a Bachelor's degree in Management with a focus on Information Systems from The University of Lethbridge, where they attended from 1999 to 2001. Before that, they studied Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) from 1997 to 1998. Additionally, Jason completed the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) program from 2005 to 2007, further enhancing their expertise in this field.
