Roger Stanton is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program management and design, currently serving as the Special Program Manager at Metro Parks Tacoma since June 2013. In this role, Roger develops programs to assist individuals facing employment barriers. Previously, Roger held positions as CIP Program Manager and Project Administrator, managing capital projects and overseeing construction processes. Additionally, Roger is deeply involved in community recovery efforts as the Director of Celebrate Recovery at Champions Centre and serves as the Mental Health Co-Director and National Ambassador Coach for Celebrate Recovery Official. Roger's background includes architectural project management at BCRA and earlier roles in graphic design. Currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University, Roger has earned both a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from Washington State University.

Parks Tacoma
Created by voters in 1907, Parks Tacoma is an independent agency that provides parks, recreation and zoological services for people in the Tacoma, Browns Point and Dash Point areas. Governed by an elected five-member Board of Park Commissioners, Parks Tacoma maintains and cares for 69 parks and attractions, including Point Defiance Park with its Zoo and Aquarium, Boathouse Marina, and Fort Nisqually; Northwest Trek Wildlife Park near Eatonville; W. W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory; Meadow Park Golf Course; and Ruston Way waterfront parks.
