Christa McCeig has had an extensive career in the field of laboratory management and medical technology. Christa started their career in 1988 at Mexia State School as a Medical Technologist and worked there until 1997. From 1997 to 2005, they worked as a Medical Technologist at ETMC First Physicians Fairfield. In 2005, they joined East Texas Medical Center - Cedar Creek Lake as a Laboratory Manager and worked there until 2008. Their most recent role is at Parkview Regional Hospital, where they have been the Chief Technologist - Laboratory since 2008 and currently serves as the Laboratory Director starting from September 2021.

Christa McCeig began their education in 1986 at Navarro College, where they pursued an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist. Christa completed this program in 1988. After a gap of several years, they furthered their education at The University of Texas Medical Branch from 2002 to 2005. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist.
