Montse Ortiz has extensive work experience in various fields. Montse started their career in 2008 as a Tècnica auxiliar regidoria de Jovenutut at Ajuntament de Vilafranca. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as a Consultora regidoria serveis social at the same company. In 2010, they joined UTS as an Assistent direcció i consultoria, where they were responsible for tasks such as writing technical reports and statistical studies, managing human resources, and leading a team. During the same year, they also worked as an Investigadora Politiques Europees at UAB Institut Universitari d'Estudis Europeus (IUEE) for a few months. In 2010, they became the Presidenta i entrenadora at Club Rítmica Vilafranca. Most recently, starting in November 2021, Montse Ortiz has been serving as the Adjunta cap de gabinet President Grup Parlamentari at Parlament de Catalunya.

Montse Ortiz pursued their undergraduate education from 2004 to 2008 at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where they obtained a degree in Llicenciatura Ciències Polítiques i de l’Administració Pública, with a focus of study. In 2009, they enrolled at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona for their Màster Integració Europea, which they completed in 2011. Continuing their education, from 2012 to 2017, Montse Ortiz pursued Llicenciatura in Estudis de l’Àsia Oriental at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, specializing in East Asian Studies. Currently, they are planning to undertake a Màster in Ciutat i Urbanisme at the same university, starting in 2023.
