A partner at Parlee McLaws, Ian has a rich and varied legal background. He articled and initially practiced in Calgary and relocated to Edmonton in 1977. Ian has worked internationally in Scotland in 1983 and in London, England from 1988-1990. During his time overseas, Ian became involved with international commercial transactions and financing having worked with Maclay, Murray and Spens in Glasgow and Lovell White Durrant (now called Hogan Lovells) in London.
Today, Ian practices in the areas of corporate commercial law, commercial real estate, banking and financing, and wills, estates and estate planning.
Ian continues his general corporate commercial practice with a variety of clients, from small and mid-sized to mega businesses who operate at local and international levels.
